Did you know that you can recycle your Contact lenses?
Contact lens manufacturer Bausch + Lomb teamed up with Terracycle to create a Canada's First contact lens recycling program. The contact lens and the plastic and foil lid are all recycled and it couldn't be simpler to take part.
Simply follow these easy steps:

Collect your discarded lenses and blister packs in a container/bag. Don't worry we can supply a bag for you.

Separate the foil from the plastic.

Drop off your collected waste at our offices in Bridgewater, Dartmouth or Halifax.
- Start again! Repeat the cycle and begin collecting again.
Here's some tips to help you
Make sure all excess liquids, such as contact lens solution, are removed. If you choose to rinse your product, ensure it is completely dry.
Please do not include the cardboard boxes or contact lens accessories, like solution bottles and reusable cases, in your collections. {:ease recycle these in your municipal programmes.
This program can be used for any manufacturer's contact lenses and blister packs, not just those manufactured by Bausch + Lomb
